We are proud to have once again been awarded the prestigious School Games Platinum Mark, a recognition of our unwavering commitment to sport and physical education. As an active and thriving school, we aim to provide our students with a diverse range of sporting experiences, encouraging participation and fostering a lifelong love for physical activity.
iPEP
We are continually striving to improve our PE curriculum to ensure that all children enjoy their PE experience at Culcheth Primary School. Each week the children are taught using the scheme 'iPEP'. This focuses on the development of agility, balance and coordination, healthy competition and cooperative learning through a unique approach to teaching and learning in PE. The foundations of the scheme are based on Fundamental Movement Skills of agility, balance and coordination, inclusive competition and broader essential holistic skills.
At our school, we hold weekly sports assemblies where children have the opportunity to share their sporting achievements and celebrate their progress. These assemblies also provide a platform to discuss what they've learned in PE lessons, promoting teamwork, confidence, and a love for physical activity. We often invite guest speakers, including athletes and coaches, to inspire our students and broaden their understanding of sports and healthy living.
At Culcheth Primary, we offer a wide variety of sports clubs to keep our students active and engaged. Whether your child enjoys football, netball, athletics, or dance, there's something for everyone! We also have multi-sports clubs that allow children to try out different activities, fostering teamwork, fitness, and fun. Join us to develop skills, make friends, and stay healthy!
Our school received the ‘afPE quality mark’ award for our sporting achievements and high quality PE in our school. Well done to all the children, staff and governors for your hardwork and dedication to PE and sport in our school.
