What is GDPR and how does it affect you?
From 25th May 2018, there are new regulations regarding the storing, processing and sharing of personal information.The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new data protection law, which will replace the existing EU laws. It aims to strengthen the protection of “personal data” paying particular attention to the way that data is now used and shared through internet and cloud technologies.
The EU wants to give people more control over how their data is used, whilst making a simpler, clearer legal framework for organisations who manage, control and process people’s data.
Culcheth Primary School and GDPR
Culcheth Community Primary School would like to reassure our parents that we are GDPR compliant. Data that is given to school is stored on password protected computers and/or lockable cupboards.
Pupils Biometric Information
Culcheth Community Primary School would like to reassure our parents that we do not hold any biometric information on any pupils at our school.
We are committed to GDPR and all aspects of you and your child’s safety and well-being. We continue to strive to be GDPR compliant in line with this new developing initiative. Our Data Protection Officer is Karen Rodgers, Deputy-Headteacher who can be contacted on 01925 764312.
