At Culcheth Primary we aim to fire pupils' curiosity with a rich and varied history curriculum. Children learn about the life of people, both local and from further afield, who lived in the past and the impact this has made to our lives today, including Ancient Egyptians, Vikings and WW2 veterans.
We enable children to think like historians whilst learning about local, British and global past lives. We ensure all children have a full access to a range of activities including visits to museums, historical themed days and visitors. Students develop a chronological framework for their knowledge of significant events and people and develop a range of skills and abilities in each year group.
Children are encouraged to present their work in a variety of formats including, quizzes, assemblies, diary entries, artwork.
